Gary Swanson

Gary Swanson was born in South Dakota in 1942 and lived in various homes throughout the US including Seattle, Alaska and Southern California. With a passion for the wild outdoors, he worked as a taxidermist, conservationist, museum curator and allowed all of his professions to inspire his painting. Wildlife depictions in realistic style is his main artistic inspiration in an effort to raise awareness for wildlife conservation. He was named the “Legend of Wildlife Art” in 1993.
